YOSEMITE

I'm alomst done with the Yosemite Pictures. I really shot this trip in two ways. One for just regular pictures and two, to make HDR photos of some of the pictures. I processed the HDR photos already and now I'm just about done with the other photos. I think I ended up with 30 or so HDR photos and a little over a hundred regular pictures.

The HDR photos are really 3 photos in one combined and then tonemapped. I did notice that some did not turn out because they didn't allign just right. Probably from me breathing hard and not keeping that camera steady. They say, you should use a tripod for best results. I brought one, just not to yosemite. So just about every photo I took was really taking three pictures. The 7d shoots 8 pictures a second and many times I found myself thinking...was that 3 or 4 or 5 shots....

I had the camera setup so the first push of the button would give me a -2 exposure, the next picture would be right on, and the third picture would give me +2 exposure filling the HDR range. So by holding down the button, several times I got more than I needed. Certianly fills up a 16gig card rather quickly, especially since I shoot JPG+Raw. Raw makes a huge difference.

Pictures coming soon...then its on to Angel Island Pictures and Pictures from Kaylah's Track meet...
