Looks like September will bring another big hike. I'm headed back out to Yosemite and drag my pal, Matt back out on the trail. This years quest looks to be the 14 mile hike to a place called Cloudsrest. The arrow points to the peak we will be scaling.
The plan is to drive over towards Yosemite the day before, get a room at a cheap hotel and then get up early at get a quick start. Old guys are slow. :-)
This hike will probably rival my hike to the Upper Falls which I really wasn't properly prepared for. Won't be the case for this event. Matt likes to bring alot of refreshments!

The final 100 yards or so up the ridge to the summit might be the most spectacular view yet in Yosemite. Or course, I plan on packing SOME camera gear, but not as much as I usually carry.
