Maiden voyage for my kite. Lookn at 300 feet up at the moment! Nearly burnt my finger off going out. 300 feet went out rather quickly in 17mph winds. The winding of it to bring it back down was a different story. I think I have popeye arms. Going out took about 5 minutes, bringing it down took about 30 minutes. I would say it is a success. Now to hook the chassis to it and send the camera up.

Next project...KAP...what is Kap you say...Kite Aerial Photography...

Yep, I know...pretty cool huh?

My basic plan is to get a kite...a large kite, get about 1000 feet of string, build a chassis to hold a digital camera and send it up in the air taking pictures.

More to come...I'm still identifying all of my parts...and how I'm going to build the chassis.
